Las Vegas -- Four drivers had parts confiscated from their cars after Friday's practice session for Sunday's UAW-DaimlerChrysler 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

The cars of Ricky Craven, Rick Mast, Joe Nemechek and Mike Skinner were found to have parts that did not meet NASCAR safety or performance standards. The Winston Cup hauler was a busy place just prior to the Bud Pole qualifying session were the parts were tagged and kept in the sanctioning body's possession.

Craven, Mast and Nemechek were found to have upper A-frames that were too thin. Skinner, however, had a tag on his illegal part that read, "performance enhancing additives will not be permitted in the air cleaner housing."

No immediate fines were disclosed.
