Penny for your thoughts?
Jon Price, of Buffalo, NY., made the trip down to qualify for his second career truck event, and did so with a provisional. However, Coy Gibbs failed to make the field, and subsequently made Price an offer he couldn't refuse.
He paid him off, basically.
"It's better for me to help Gibbs Racing out," said Price, 25. "I'm here learning and this is part of the deal. To be asked to give it up is something that's the best for me right now. The 20 people coming down to the race tomorrow will be a little bit disappointed but I'll be in the next race now, which wasn't on the schedule. There's benefits for me too. I'm looking at the future and right now I've talked it over with a few people, like my marketing people. This was the best move."

A source in the garage said Friday that Mike Skinner would drive the No. 21 Chevrolet in next weekend's NASCAR Busch Series affair at Nashville.
Mike Dillon, the team's full time driver in that car, is still recovering from a wreck at Bristol Motor Speedway that sent him to the hospital for a precautionary CAT Scan.
Honorary pit crew coming
Look for some honorary pit crew promotions in the near future with Hermie Sadler's new No. 13 Virginia Lottery Chevrolet team. He said Friday that the team was busy working on such promotions, but failed to make the race.
