What to watch for
You want to watch for the new track there. Mr. Bahre has worked real hard on Turns 3 and 4. The track has had a lot of time to season and cure up and I think we've had one race on it already.
I think a lot of the guys understand what line to run there for qualifying and all that. After qualifying and the practices, you're going to watch to see if the track holds up and if we can run all around the track.
Last time was not too good

The last time we were there, the track was good in most spots. We could pass both high and low in Turns 1 and 2. But, Turns 3 and 4 just got so built up by tire rubber, dirt and stuff that we found ourselves running on the new part of the racetrack.
To be quite honest, I know the new groove was created to do more passing, but when we got down on there, you feel like the car is leaning the wrong way. It was a rough one, the last race was, I hope it's not like that this time.
I really think what needs to happen is that he needs to reshape the corners and put more banking in the racetrack. Actually, a lot of work needs to be done on the bottom lane.
His idea of building a compound banking of, let's say eight degrees on the low part and 12 on the high side, is the right thing. We could have one hell of a race there and we could run two and three wide.
Fan frenzy in New England
The fans in New England are really great -- I love them, I really do.
When I go there, it's like the volume gets turned up and the fans scream louder. Heck, they also talk louder, they're more opinionated and boisterous than some other places.

You go all around the country, you realize that people up in that area are really cool. They're tough, strong people when you get up in there and close to New York, too. That's the biggest thing I noticed.
If they're a Rusty fan, by gosh, they're going to let their buddies know they're a Rusty fan. I love it.
Where's Wallace
I'll be out at the merchandise trailer as soon as Happy Hour is over signing autographs for the fans. I believe on Friday night, I don't have anything to do so I might head out and play a little golf.
Last Call
I know that all the kids are back in school now and I think back to my high school days. The one class I hated the most was history.
I could just never understand what the hell Christopher Columbus had to do with my right now. I just didn't like it because I felt, back then, that it didn't have any relevance to what was going on right then.
I've never been one to look at the past, but I'm real proud of my past records and the 54 Winston Cup wins, but I flunked history and there was good reason for it. I just didn't care.
Although, it is something I should probably care about learn more about. Anyone reading this right now that is a history teacher, probably won't be a Rusty fan anymore. I have respect for history; I just wasn't any good at it.
