Word on the street has Morgan-McClure Motorsports leaving the Chevy stable and switching to the 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix.

Mike Skinner, in his first year with MMM, is 31st in Winston Cup Series points with no top-10 finishes.

If MMM makes the move, it would be the second team captured by Pontiac. On Saturday, PPI Racing announced it was leaving Ford and that Ricky Craven would drive a No. 32 Pontiac beginning with next year.

Joe Gibbs Racing set off the manufacturer merry-go-round earlier this summer by switching from Pontiac to Chevrolet for 2003.

The announcement by MMM might be made during activities at Bristol Motor Speedway this weekend.
