According to Hamilton, the decision was based more on sponsorship than performance. Rose is 15th in points with one top five and five top-10 finishes.

Hamilton will drive the truck in Friday's Power Stroke Diesel 200 at Indianapolis Raceway Park.

"We tried really hard to work something out so Brian could stay in the truck, but it just reached a point where I had to make a tough decision," Hamilton said. "I've been forced to make some changes in the organization.

"Square D said they would love to be on the No. 4 truck if I drove it, so it just made since for me to race it this race. I'm not sure what our plan is for next week, but we have a lot of things to look at before a decision needs to be made."
