Hamilton Jr. to drive for dad at Nashville

It didn't take Bobby Hamilton Sr. long to find a driver for his No. 4 Dodge this week in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.

According to a spokesman for Bobby Hamilton Racing Monday, Hamilton's son -- Bobby Jr. -- is going to pilot the No. 4 truck at Saturday's Federated Auto Parts 250 race at Nashville Superspeedway.

Hamilton Jr. competes full-time in the Busch Grand National Series as the driver of the No. 25 Team Marines Ford.

However, Hamilton Jr. became available to get behind the wheel of the No. 4 truck because the Busch Series doesn't race again until Aug. 17 at Michigan International Speedway.

This will be Hamilton Jr.'s second time in the No. 4 truck. Back in August of 2000, he failed to qualify for the Federated Auto Parts 250 event at Nashville Speedway USA in his Truck Series debut.

Although Hamilton Jr. is driving the No. 4 entry at Nashville, no decision has been made on who will drive the truck following this weekend.

Brian Rose was driving the No. 4 Dodge this season, but was released last Friday prior to the running of the Power Stroke Diesel 200 Friday night at Indianapolis Raceway Park. Hamilton Sr. drove the No. 4 truck in that event, finishing 30th.
