Kellogg's to sponsor Tony the Tiger Awards

Terry Labonte and the Kellogg's™ Racing Team are competing this weekend in the Brickyard 400 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Sunday.

The Kellogg's™ Racing Team has cause for celebration, as it is Tony the Tiger's™ 50th birthday -- and a top finishing position would be a GR-R-REAT birthday present for the beloved icon.

Tony the Tiger™ and Kellogg's Frosted Flakes® have a lot to celebrate themselves, having been a household name for 50 years!

In honor of the big birthday, Kellogg is sponsoring the Gr-r-reat Tony the Tiger™ Awards program to recognize kids who exemplify the Tony the Tiger™ spirit of achievement, having overcome a personal challenge or helped others to do so.

Ten finalists will be honored, including one grand-prize $10,000-scholarship winner, at a special awards ceremony in New York City on Aug. 16. Rosie O'Donnell will host the awards program and the show will include a solo performance by Nick Carter.
