NASCAR.com, Bobby Labonte and Joe Gibbs Racing are working together to raise donations for The Todd M. Beamer Foundation and in just one week have raised over $15,000 through donations to NASCAR.com.
In support of the foundation, Labonte will drive a "Let's Roll" patriotic paint scheme car Sunday during the All-American Heroes 400 sponsored by MBNA Winston Cup event at Dover Downs International Speedway on TNT at 1 p.m. ET.
Next week, on Tues., Sept. 24, NASCAR.com will host a "Racing To Their Aid" auction. Headlining the auction is a chance for race fans to own a fire suit and helmet worn by Labonte during this weekend's activities at Dover. All the proceeds from the auction and related merchandise will be donated to the foundation as well.
"That makes me feel really great to see what the fans have done in such a short amount of time for the Beamer Foundation. Part of me is kind of surprised how much they have donated so far, but NASCAR fans are the greatest in the world and I should never be surprised by what they do," said Bobby Labonte.
"I am very honored to be running this paint scheme this weekend. I hope that it really helps the foundation that Lisa Beamer and her family have started in honor of Todd. I have always thought that NASCAR fans are the most supportive of any in professional sports and to me this just confirms that."
"Let's Roll" is a phrase made famous by Todd Beamer, who, on Sept. 11, 2001, was among the many American heroes aboard Flight 93 who likely saved countless lives by giving their own in the fight against terrorism.

The Foundation especially focuses on those children who lost a parent on Sept. 11th.
