Sadler, who will be driving his last race for the No. 21 Wood Brothers Ford, railed around the 1.5-mile, flat oval at 148.678 mph (36.320 sec). Next year, Sadler will drive the No. 38 Ford of Robert Yates Racing.
Soon-to-be rookie Greg Biffle, driving the No. 44 Dodge as a fill-in, was second fastest with his time of 148.278 mph (36.418 sec). He posted that lap 3 of his 27 laps of practice.
Kurt Busch, who won the Bud Pole on Friday, was third at 147.832 mph. Tony Stewart was fifth-quickest at 147.775 mph.
Martin had a slight scare when he and Derrike Cope made incidental contact. Nobody spun, but Martin received some damage to the right side of his No. 6 Ford. He continued on after coming to the garage to get the car checked by the crew.
The right-side door was caved in, and Martin's crew made repairs. Martin finished the session in eighth, with a best speed of 147.630 mph.
