Demographic surveys show that a good 40 percent of race fans are women. Given the number of female Fan-atics we hear from, those statistics seem to be dead on the money.

| A look at Susie Stewart's office. |
Susie Stewart is a sparking example of a lady Fan-atic. Susie is senior buyer for Amerex Corporation, the largest industrial fire extinguisher manufacturer in the world. Her love of NASCAR racing is brilliantly reflected in the decorum of her office.
When her husband, Steve, sent us some pictures of her collection, we knew Susie's story was one well worth sharing. Here, in her own words, she describes her collection and how it came to be:
Our love for this fantastic sport began when we moved to Alabama seven years ago. I told my husband, Steve, that in order to carry on a conversation at work we had to decide-- "Earnhardt or Gordon?" Of course that was easy -- Earnhardts all the way!
When Dale died Steve bought a large poster of him for me to keep at work. That was the beginning of our die-cast and memorabilia collection.
With the help of my husband, great friends at work, vendors and the encouragement of my bosses at Amerex Corporation, my office has turned into a mini NASCAR museum. Although we have a few other drivers on display, my goal is for the office to become entirely DEI drivers only.

A good friend at work had a miniature front stretch version of Talladega Superspeedway made for me. We have 1:64 scale cars on the track and once in
a while, one of the cars will be "over the wall" as a joke.
We have great fun with our collection at work as well as at home. My husband and I argue over what cars I can bring to the office. Ha! He insisted that I buy one of Junior's tires saying that I wouldn't be satisfied until I had one on display.
The smell was wonderful when I first had it in the office. How bad have I got it? I have been so blessed to work with great people that tolerate my obsession.
We always go to Talladega all four days and have been to Bristol and Darlington. We hope to include other racetracks in the years to come. We are hoping to go to Mooresville in April to attend Dale Earnhardt Days.
Our daughter and granddaughter are also fans of Junior and the other DEI drivers. Our niece loves Mark Martin, which makes for good conversation.
On Sundays, we have four televisions on so as not to miss anything in case we leave the room. Our very favorite die-cast is Juniors 2001 Major League Baseball car. We have several versions in our collection and are always looking for more."-- Susie Stewart
