Busch, Truck qualifying washed out

March 13, 2003
2:32 PM EST (1932 GMT)

DARLINGTON, S.C. -- NASCAR's on-track plans on Thursday have once again been thwarted by Mother Nature.

Rain forced NASCAR to cancel Bud Pole Qualifying for both the Busch Series and Craftsman Truck Series at Darlington Raceway.

Instead, lineups for Friday's Craftsman 200 and Saturday's darlingtonraceway.com 200 will be set by 2002 owner points, in addition to guidelines in each division's rulebook.

Because there were 34 trucks and 42 Busch cars in the garage area, no teams will be sent home this weekend.

If conditions will permit, Craftsman Trucks are hoping to take to the track at 3:30 p.m. ET for a one-hour practice, followed by a Busch Series practice at 4:30. The Trucks are then scheduled for a Happy Hour practice at 5:30.

There are no lights at Darlington.
