Hamilton Jr. was enraged about the incident, which occurred when he tried to clear the No. 79 Chevrolet of Aramendia coming out of Turn 4.

Hamilton Jr. was running on the high side of the 1.5-mile track when his No. 25 Ford passed Aramendia, who ducked low to get out of the way.

According to Hamilton Jr., he didn't duck low enough.

"The 79 got up and just pushed and turned me," Hamilton Jr. said. "I know they (the Busch Series) have a low car count, but letting these guys run like they are, you're going to get somebody killed.

"We'll go to Talladega and probably get mixed up in one of those big wrecks too."

Aramendia, who was making his third start of the season, was apologetic.

"I tried to get out of the way. I probably gave him too much room and de-wedged my car," Aramendia said. "I'll take the blame and I apologize.

"That is the last thing I wanted to do. All I wanted to do was get through the race and learn what I could today. I apologize to that man and his crew."

Hamilton Jr. ended up 40th, which dropped him from ninth to 17th in the Busch Series standings. Aramendia, who drives for a part-time, family-owned team, finished 20th, a career best.
