HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. -- Greg Biffle is set to make his first Busch Series start since wrapping up the 2002 championship at Homestead-Miami Speedway on Nov. 16.

The event: the Carquest Auto Parts 300 at Lowe's Motor Speedway on May 24. The car: the No. 9 Taurus prepared by Roush Racing.

Biffle amassed some impressed statistics competing full time in the Busch Series from 2001-2002. In 67 starts, he recorded nine wins, seven poles, 36 top-five finishes and 47 top 10s, along with accumulating almost $4 million in winnings.

Biffle received the 2001 Rookie of the Year honors followed by the 2002 title, making him the only driver in NASCAR history to attain these feats in both the Craftsman Truck Series and Busch Series.

He looks to complete the hat trick and etch a couple of more spots in the record books by capturing the 2003 rookie title in the Winston Cup Series and hopefully a championship in the coming years.

"I had two great years competing in the Busch Series and I look forward to mixing it up with those guys again," said Biffle. "I've been hoping to run some races this season and luckily I'll get to do that at one of my favorite tracks.

"I had some good runs at Lowe's Motor Speedway in the Busch Series and I'm hoping we can pick up right where we left off."

In four outings at Lowe's Motor Speedway Biffle has one win, two top-five and four top-10 finishes that amount to an average finishing

position of 3.75. Biffle has led on eight different occasions at Lowe's for a total of 211 laps (26.41%).

The No. 50 Craftsman Truck Series team will setup the car and service it throughout the weekend with Jon Monsam performing the crew chief duties.

Biffle will be racing Chassis No. JR-15, which is the same car Jeff Burton led with at Las Vegas Motor Speedway earlier this season before suffering mechanical problems and finishing 30th.
