Mears motors to Bud Pole at Chicagoland

JOLIET, Ill. -- Casey Mears was pretty as a picture Friday at Chicagoland Speedway.

Driving the No. 19 Fujifilm Dodge, Mears outran Johnny Sauter's Chevrolet to earn the Bud Pole for Saturday's Tropicana Twister 300.

Mears' lap of 181.757 mph was slightly slower than the track record speed of 181.886, set by Ryan Newman two years ago.

The rest of the top ten includes Bobby Hamilton Jr., Dave Blaney, Michael Waltrip, David Reutimann, Matt Kenseth, Brian Vickers, Tony Raines and Joe Nemechek.
