AVONDALE, Ariz. -- Eight may be enough for Kevin Harvick.
In winning his fifth NASCAR Busch Series Bud Pole of the season Thursday with a record-breaking lap of 132.930 mph around the revamped one-mile Phoenix International Raceway oval, Harvick clinched his eighth start from the pole this year.
Three times rain washed out Busch Series qualifying, placing Harvick up front based on owner's points.
He's made 10 front-row starts in the Busch Series this season.
Greg Biffle, David Stremme and Bobby Hamilton Jr. also broke the 132 mph barrier in qualifying for Saturday's Bashas' Supermarkets 200, while points leader David Green will start fifth.
