The Buzz: Trucks are Goss' cup of tea

General Motors has hired former Roush Racing crew chief Randy Goss to work in a technical liaison role with its expanded program in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.

But the chief mechanic who won two rookie of the year and two series championships in trucks and the Busch Series with Greg Biffle won't leave his crew chief's role.

Goss will be the crew chief in as many as 10 Craftsman Truck races next season in which Nextel Cup drivers will wheel a GM-backed truck.

It's unknown whether those 10 events include a limited program of races that Kevin Harvick said he would run in a second Kevin Harvick Inc. truck, backed by GM Goodwrench, as a teammate to KHI's lead driver, Matt Crafton.
