DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- NASCAR officials announced Thursday that Richard A. Ren II, crew chief of the No. 29 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series team, has been fined $500 due to a rule infraction discovered last week at Texas Motor Speedway, prior to the O'Reilly 400K.

During the event's initial inspection process, the No. 29 Ford was found to have unapproved lug nuts.
That was a violation of Section 12-4-Q of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series rulebook (parts and/or equipment used that do not conform to NASCAR rules) and Section 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing).
