MILWAUKEE, Wis. -- David Stover and the Summer Bay Resort / Dave Porter Truck Sales No. 63 Ford Truck team plan to keep things on a roll at the Milwaukee Mile this weekend.
David had an impressive NASCAR debut at Memphis last weekend by running in the lead lap until a brake bracket broke on lap 133, that put him several laps down finishing in 25th place.
"I'm looking forward to running the historic Milwaukee Mile," commented David Stover. "My flat-track go-kart and road course experience hopefully will help at Milwaukee. This No. 63 Ford Truck team gave me a good truck at Memphis and made my job easy. We are taking the same truck to Milwaukee and plan to have another good run."
"We are excited about the Milwaukee race," stated Mike Mittler. Our driver, David Stover, who drove his first NASCAR race last weekend in Memphis, did a great job for us. Milwaukee has always been a favorite track for us, kind of a second-home type track. We have raced at the historic flat-mile track since the late 70's, when helping Rusty Wallace.
"The track has been pretty good to us over the years. It will be special to have our team be part of the Milwaukee Mile 100-year anniversary truck race."
"I am very appreciative of the confidence Mike Mittler and the team have shown by letting me drive the No. 63 Ford Truck," continued David. "This team is fun to work with. They all work very hard and get along great. I learned a lot at Memphis and I'm sure I will learn more this weekend.
"I'm excited about running at a bigger track and taking that next step up the NASCAR ladder. The Milwaukee Mile has had a lot of famous drivers run there. It will be neat to have our team be included in the historic anniversary truck race."
