AVONDALE, Ariz. -- Jim Smith said on Saturday that Andy Houston will drive the No. 2 Dodge in the Craftsman Truck Series in 2004.
Houston, 33, has been without a full-time ride since he was let go by Herzog-Jackson Motorsports' Busch Series entry in early 2002.
Houston has driven five races for Smith this year and has scored top-10 finishes in all of them. He was 10th on Friday in the Silverado 150 at Phoenix.
Smith's decision solidifies his Craftsman Truck Series lineup for 2004.
"Andy will drive the 2 truck next season, and (Ted) Musgrave is certainly staying in the 1," Smith said.

Smith also said he is working to place Tracy Hines in a third truck for half of the 2004 season.
Musgrave, in his third season with Smith, is only 20 points behind leader Brendan Gaughan going into the season finale at Miami-Homestead in two weeks.
