BAL HARBOUR, Fla. -- It's Travis Kvapil's night to shine.

Kvapil, the 2003 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series champion, will be honored tonight at the Sheraton Bal Harbour Beach Resort during the championship awards banquet.

Kvapil, who edged Dennis Setzer by nine points and Ted Musgrave by 18 following Friday's Ford 200, the last of 25 races on the 2003 schedule, will receive the lion's share of nearly $1.5 million in post-season awards handed out to the top 20 drivers and owners in the final 2003 point standings.

Several special awards will be presented, including the Bud Pole Award, Waste Management "Picking Up Places" Award, Clevite Engine Builder of the Year, Featherlite Long Haul Award, Manufacturers Championship Award and the Raybestos Rookie-of-the-Year Award, which will be presented to Carl Edwards.

"I really want to win that championship next year and I think with Superchips and Ford and all the exciting things we have going on we can hopefully tack that on to our Raybestos Rookie of the Year award," Edwards said.
