Labonte wins Bass Pro Shops MBNA 500

HAMPTON, Ga. -- Bobby Labonte dominated the Bass Pro Shops MBNA 500 on Sunday as he won at Atlanta for the sixth time in his career.

Labonte led 172 of the 325 laps.

Labonte took the lead for the final time with a dramatic pass of Jeff Gordon with nine laps to go.

It is Labonte's first win in nearly a year -- he won at Martinsville in April 2002.

Jeff Gordon was second for his top run of 2003. Dale Earnhardt Jr. was third, and Matt Kenseth took the points lead with a fourth-place finish. Tony Stewart was fifth.
