TALLADEGA, Ala. -- The Bud Pole Qualifying times of David Green and Larry Foyt were disallowed Friday afternoon at Talladega Superspeedway for similar rear end height violations.

Both cars were too low in the rear, even taking into consideration a quarter-inch allowance for the cars to "settle" after returning to the garage.
The penalty took away Green's sixth place qualifying run in the No. 60 Haas Chevrolet fielded by Hendrick Motorsports.
Since the team has only attempted one other event this season, it did not have enough owner points to earn a provisional starting position.
Foyt's No. 14 Harrah's Dodge posted the 45th fastest speed of 46 cars that attempted to make the 43-car field. His team was also too low in the points to earn a provisional spot.
Brett Bodine's No. 11 Hooters Ford was the third car that did not qualify.
When the cars that qualified behind Green moved up to fill his spot, Mike Wallace's No. 09 Miccosukee Dodge moved from unqualified into the 36th position.
The drivers taking provisional starting positions did not change with the ruling. Ricky Rudd, Jeff Burton, Dave Blaney, John Andretti, Ken Schrader, Mike Skinner and Tony Raines will line up 37th-43rd.
