RICHMOND, Va. -- The Richmond Fairgrounds has hosted NASCAR racing since 1953, starting with a half-track dirt track, which was paved in 1968 and reconfigured into a D-shaped 3/4-mile oval in 1988.

In that time, the Pontiac Excitement 400 has created a sizeable log of statistical nuggets interspersed with facts and notes about the sport's best drivers.

0 -- The number of top-10 finishes by Michael Waltrip in 34 career Richmond starts. His best finish is 12th, twice.
