CONCORD, N.C. - Larry Foyt was taken to the infield care center after the Coca-Cola 600 at Lowe's Motor Speedway to be treated for smoke inhalation. Foyt received some oxygen and was fine, crew chief Butch Lamoreux said.

Foyt started having trouble when he was involved in a crash triggered by Ricky Craven's blown engine.

Some smoke was getting in his car as it was, and when Foyt hit the wall after slipping in Craven's oil, the crushpanels inside the car were knocked out. That allowed more smoke to get to Foyt.

"It knocked the panels out in the wreck," Lamoreux said. "He was getting a little smoke prior to that. I think he might have had a fender rub or something like that. It finally overcame him a little bit.

"When he got the opportunity we got him out and we got him some oxygen. He's OK. He's doing fine."

Foyt finished 34th, seven laps down.
