Kurt Busch: Pennsylvania 500 preview

From Team Press Release

LONG POND, Pa. -- Kurt Busch traveled with teammate Matt Kenseth, to Wisconsin to race late models last Tuesday night, in the Miller Light Nationals at Slinger Speedway.

Busch won the pole in his first race at the track and ran with the leaders for much of the race, but fell victim to a mid-race spin.

Busch has a second-place finish at Pocono in 2002, however he also has two DNF's.

Chassis JR-52 has not been run yet in 2003 it received a new body in the off-season.

Busch is now tied with Ryan Newman for most wins in 2003.

"Things didn't go our way last time we went to Pocono. I had a tire go down and ended up wrecking about as hard as I ever have. Still, I have had success at Pocono, particularly when I finished runner up in 2002. It is definitely a unique track. Finding the right balance for the car is tricky because you always end up giving up a little speed in one of the three turns.

"I am ready to get back to racing this weekend. Finishing 11th last week was not the Rubbermaid team's best performance of the year, but it put us back on track. It was a strong team effort to chase the handling of the car all day, and still get a good finish. Our goal this weekend is to continue that trend."
