LONG POND, Penn. -- Pocono Raceway staged its first NASCAR Winston Cup race in 1974, the inaugural Purolator 500, which was won by Richard Petty.

Since then, Pocono has expanded its Winston Cup schedule to two races a season. Here aresome facts about the Pennsylvania racetrack:
