Andretti to join RCR for Talladega race

LOUDON, N.H. -- John Andretti's recent test of a Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet at Talladega Superspeedway will result in Andretti driving a fourth RCR Monte Carlo in the Sept. 28 EA Sports 500.

"We're going to do a little release on (the car number and sponsor) either Monday or Tuesday of next week," Childress said Sunday at New Hampshire International Speedway, where Andretti drove Dale Earnhardt Incorporated's No. 1 Pennzoil Chevrolet.

"The test went real good," Childress said. "One of the cars was a little off so we carried it back home and worked on it and we'll probably go back and test one more time."

With Andretti stepping out of the Pennzoil car at Talladega, NASCAR Busch Series driver Jason Keller will test Tuesday and Wednesday at Talladega in the No. 1 Chevrolet.
