TALLADEGA, Ala. -- Greg Biffle's future at Roush Racing is most certainly in question.

Biffle told NASCAR.com on Friday that he has no immediate plans to leave Roush, but is exploring the possibility of employment elsewhere.

"There's several people who have approached me about doing something different," Biffle said just before his qualifying run at Talladega Superspeedway. "It's not set in stone I'm staying with Roush, not set in stone I'm leaving. But I'm certainly exploring my options."

Biffle wouldn't elaborate on his suitors, but did say his current contract runs through the end of 2004, and that no extension has been signed.

"This is probably my last career move, to go somewhere for the next five or six years, or next so many years," Biffle said.

"So I'm going to take my time and make sure I make the right decision, make sure I have a good opportunity where I'm at, or wherever I go before I make any decisions. That's it."

Roush Racing is the only NASCAR team Biffle has ever driven for. In four seasons at Roush -- two each in the Craftsman Truck Series and Busch Series -- he has a pair of rookie of the year awards and a pair of championships.

This season has been a bit tougher on the 33-year old Winston Cup rookie, who broke into Victory Lane at Daytona in July.

"I'm relatively happy where I'm at," he said. "We're getting better, let's say. I haven't been happy this whole year, but we're definitely getting better and happier than I have been in the past."
