AOL for Broadband Experience at race tracks

Heading to the track this weekend? Check out all the exciting activities that are available to you from AOL at the AOL For Broadband Experience at all Nextel Cup Series events for the remainder of the 2004 Season.

 UAW-GM Quality 500
 This race at Charlotte will feature special paint schemes for the RCR 35th Anniversary celebration. The No. 30 car will have one of Richard Childress's classic paint schemes, as will the No. 29 and No. 31 cars.

  • Hours of Operations - Friday through Sunday. Typically the race day schedule is 8 am to 1 hour after green flag. Friday and Saturday is built around the events supporting the Sunday race and varies. Hosts are there to guide and assist the fans as well as interview them using PDAs. An emcee invites fans to come in and see what's going on.
  • Main Mobile Display Unit - House thirty (30) kiosks where fans can log on to AOL, check the latest information on NASCAR.COM or surf the internet. Also two (2) Flat Screen monitors provide AOL messages.
  •  SPECIAL EVENT: PEPSI 400
     AOL For Broadband "Daytona to Daytona" sweeps winner will be announced. Two finalists will be flown in and both will get a key to start the chopper and one will win!

  • Support Trailer - Fans can experience Radio@AOL on four (4) computers and see first hand the features of the product. All the music for the AOL MMU is provided by Radio@AOL and this technology.
  • AOL.tookmypicture - Two (2) roving photographers take candid photos which are posted at http://aol.tookmypicture.com . Fans can retrieve their personal photo at the site, as well as see what took place that weekend at the track. They can forward the link to family and friends.

  • Greenscreen Photo Keepsake - Fans can get their virtual picture taken with Johnny Sauter and Richard Childress They receive a 4" by 6" printed keepsake photo. Soon, they will be able to have their "virtual" picture taked with Johnny Sauter and Richard Childress which will be also posted on the AOL.tookmypicture site, replacing the photo keepsake.
  • Jesse James Chopper Sweepstakes - AOL members can register to win the AOL Chopper built by Jesse James. The bike will be displayed at the support trailer for fans and members to check out. The bike will be won by one lucky AOL member under the lights at the Pepsi 400 in July at Daytona.

  • Richard Childress Racing Sweepstakes - All fans can register to win a Private VIP Tour of RCR shops and museum. They will meet Richard Childress and receive guide tour of the facilities. This prize will be awarded at the end of the season.
  • The AOL No. 30 Racecar Prize Wheel - Fans line up to spin the wheel and will cool AOL merchandise ranging from key chains to Johnny Sauter autographed posters.
