Believe it or not, Christmas is less than 10 weeks away and approaching faster than Dale Jr. on the white flag lap. Folks will soon be shifting their thoughts toward what to buy that NASCAR fan on their shopping list. You know, the one who has every trading card and die-cast piece available.

Simply Home offers a unique line of NASCAR-licensed tapestry throws that are sure to be a hit with any racing enthusiast.

"We've been manufacturing NASCAR-themed tapestry throws since the early 1990s," said Harold Pennington Jr., Executive Vice President of Weavetec, parent company of Simply Home. "Our NASCAR products have always been popular with race fans and make up an important part of our business."

Simply Home's Racing Classics Collection boasts a driver roster that features many of NASCAR's brightest superstars, including: Dale Earnhardt, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson, Jeff Burton, Kurt Busch, Kevin Harvick, Matt Kenseth, Mark Martin, Ricky Rudd and Michael Waltrip.

Each throw is American-made of 100 percent cotton. Two versions are currently available at the NASCAR.COM SuperStore. The 50" x 60" throw includes an image of a specific driver's car, along with the car number and replicated autograph. The two-layer 48" x 60" edition features a bold replica of the the driver's stylized car number as the focal point, complemented by two replica signatures.

"Simply Home's state-of-the-art technology enables us to replicate images onto fabric with amazing authenticity," Pennington noted.

Simply Home also offers Christmas-style stockings. Each stocking is adorned with the driver's car number and replica autograph.

Simply Home was founded in 1986 as a small gift shop and was originally known as Simply Country. Steady requests for afghans and throws led to a contractual agreement with Weavetec, a manufacturer based in South Carolina.

That relationship between the two companies flourished to the point that Weavetec purchased Simply Country in 1995, and changed the brand name to Simply Home in 2002. Manufacturing and much of the product development is handled in South Carolina, but sales are orchestrated out of Wytheville, Virginia.

Simply Home had already begun making inroads into the racing market before its acquisition by Weavetec. The company secured it first NASCAR license, with megastar Dale Earnhardt, in March of 1995.

Over the years, Simply Home has offered decorative collectible home products featuring such well-known licenses as Emmett Kelly, Rock City and the Titanic, along with universities like Auburn, Duke and Florida State. The brand has also showcased the talents of internationally-known artists such as Glynda Turley, MaryBeth Doughty, Gail Adams, Dylan Scott Pierce, Kathy Jo Sledd, Andrea Tachiera, and Mary Hughes.

An upcoming line of tapestry throws will feature the unmistakable artwork of motorsports artist Sam Bass. Look for more information on that series in the near future. In the meantime, check out the dozens of Simply Home NASCAR products at the NASCAR.COM SuperStore.
