No need to wonder who'll be making Kasey Kahne die-cast in the immediate future. Kahne and Action Performance Companies have strengthened their relationship with a contract that ties the two together for the next five years. Action recently signed Kahne to an endorsement agreement that grants the collectibles kingpin to personal services rights through 2009. Of course, Action is already the exclusive manufacturer of Kahne die-cast, as well as select apparel and souvenir items. The company also handles trackside sales for the driver. The new agreement grants Action Performance the rights to use Kahne's name, image and likeness for a variety of media, including: print, television, radio and the internet. The driver will also make public appearances for Action, including autograph sessions and special events. | | SUPERSTORE | |

In addition, the Action logo will appear on Kahne's racing helmet and/or uniform. "This arrangement offers a unique opportunity for me to stay connected to all of those NASCAR fans and collectors who have been so supportive this season," said Kahne, who pilots Ray Evernham's No. 9 Dodge Intrepid on the NASCAR NextelCup tour. "It's with pleasure that I give my time to meet the fans who wear my colors and cheer me on at every race. Working with Action Performance streamlines the process since many of those fans usually bring No. 9 Dodge collectibles or T-shirts and things for me to sign. It's a great feeling to know how much the fans appreciate you and the job you do on the racetrack, and I never want to take that for granted." |
