Some folks think the holiday season begins around Thanksgiving. But if you're a NASCAR fan, you know it starts the minute Sam Bass rolls out his latest Happy Holidays die-cast car. In what has become a much-anticipated holiday tradition, Sam Bass unveiled his third annual Christmas-themed die-cast during October race week at Charlotte. This year's car -- appropriately numbered "'04" -- features images of Santa Claus, his reindeer and elves against a lustrous gold chrome finish. As he has done in the past, Bass teamed with Team Caliber to bring this very special Christmas-themed die-cast car to collectors. This season's Happy Holidays Monte Carlo is offered in 1:24 scale Owner's Series and 1:64 scale Pit Stop Series editions. | | STORE | |

"We had the 2004 Happy Holidays die-cast car on display at the gallery during race week, and the response from fans was great," said Bass. "Everyone knows I'm a big kid at heart when it comes to Christmas, so it gives me great pleasure to know I can create something very special for the fans to enjoy during the holidays. It's as much fun for me as it is for the fans." Bass not only created the graphics for the collectible, he actually came up with the idea of developing the series. "The Christmas car was something I had been wanting to do for five or six years," said Bass. "In 2002, I was finally able to bring it to the fans with the help of NASCAR and Team Caliber. I thought it would be really neat to give a traditional Christmas look to a NASCAR stock car and present it in a way that fans would have something to look forward to each year." |
