Bob Edwards, the acclaimed public radio newsman and host of XM Public Radio's "The Bob Edwards Show," is one of four inductees to enter the prestigious hall.

"We at XM are very pleased to be able to broadcast the Radio Hall of Fame induction ceremony live to our millions of listeners," said Eric Logan, executive Vice President of Programming, XM Satellite Radio. "We are especially pleased because a member of the XM family, Bob Edwards, is to be inducted. Bob has been the preeminent voice of public radio for decades, and we congratulate him for this well-deserved recognition of his outstanding contributions to broadcast journalism. We are excited that Bob's fans across the country can tune in Saturday and be a part of the audience for this very special event."

Bob Edwards premiered his weekday morning program on XM Public Radio this fall. Previously, he hosted National Public Radio's "Morning Edition" for nearly 25 years, attracting more than 13 million listeners weekly. In 1999 he and the show received a Peabody Award for excellence in broadcasting. Edwards also received the Edward R. Murrow Award from the Corporation of Public Broadcasting for outstanding contributions to public radio.

Radio Hall of Fame inductees are selected by radio executives, broadcast historians and members of the hall through a national balloting process. The Radio Hall of Fame is located at the Museum of Broadcast Communications in Chicago. Saturday's induction ceremony will take place at the Renaissance Chicago Hotel.
