ROCKINGHAM, N.C. -- Fans of unrestricted Nextel Cup Series racing are rejoicing this weekend as the series contests the 39th annual Subway 400 at North Carolina Speedway.
After 38 consecutive years of having two Cup dates a season, "The Rock" in 2004 has only a single event.
Still, in its 39-year history, the track has established a significant numerological record.
