TALLADEGA, Ala. -- Since it opened in 1969, Talladega Superspeedway has been the site of some of NASCAR's most thrilling racing, and some of its wildest mishaps.
In recent times Talladega Superspeedway, once known as NASCAR's fastest racetrack, has become the site of its fastest moving traffic jam.
Kevin Harvick puts his string of 47 consecutive races running at the finish on the line in Sunday's Aaron's 499. Rusty Wallace is thrilled to come to Talladega after ending a 105-race winless streak last weekend. But Dale Earnhardt Jr., who has won four of the last five races at Talladega, looks poised to add to the track's statistical legacy.
