LONG POND, Pa. -- Pocono Raceway, the three-cornered uniquely banked speedway in the Eastern Pennsylvania vacation country, has a 30-year legacy of arduous competition.

In the tough, two-shifts-per-lap environment of Sunday's Pocono 500 Kevin Harvick puts the Nextel Cup Series' current best string of 52 consecutive races running at the finish on the line.

Defending race winner Tony Stewart is in prime position to defend his 2003 Pocono 500 title and establish Pocono's latest statistical mark.
