WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. -- Watkins Glen International, the legendary upstate New York high-speed road course, returned to the NASCAR Cup schedule in 1986, having first hosted Buck Baker's victory in 1957.

Because of its positioning in relation to the cutoff point for the Chase for the Nextel Cup, Sunday's Sirius at The Glen has become a critical event for a number of competitors who are fighting to maintain or achieve positions in the top 10 in the standings.
