KANSAS CITY, Kan. -- Kansas Speedway has only a three-year history in NASCAR Cup racing, but the facility has become racier with each passing season, according to NASCAR's competitors.

KNOW YOUR NASCAR

Kansas' Sunday afternoon Banquet 400 presented by ConAgra Foods is the 30th event of the 36-race Nextel Cup season, making it the fourth race in the 10-event "playoff" series that will determine the first Nextel Cup champion.

While the 10 Chase for the Cup drivers have a lot more at stake than winning the Banquet 400, 47 entries were scheduled to try to make the latest statistical mark at Kansas.

Ryan Newman, the most recent Kansas Cup winner and Hendrick Motorsports' Jeff Gordon, who swept the two previous Cup races here -- are the ones most likely to add to Kansas' statistical legacy.

The following numbers refer to Kansas, unless otherwise noted.
