The Subway 500 will be the first on the combination concrete and asphalt .526-mile oval since it was resurfaced following the spring event.

The Subway 500 is the 32nd of 36 events on the season and marks the sixth event in NASCAR's first 10-race "playoff" for the title of its premier division -- the Chase for the Nextel Cup.

A pair of veteran drivers with a history of short track success is most likely to add to Martinsville's statistical legacy.
