Leffler aces Cup regulars to take Busch Pole

Jason Leffler beat out a host of Nextel Cup Series interlopers Friday to take the Busch Pole Award for the Stater Bros. 300 at California Speedway. His lap of 182.223 mph in 39.512 seconds earned him his first pole of the year.

Fellow Busch Series regular Martin Truex Jr. will join Leffler on the front row. Kevin Harvick, Jeremy Mayfield and Kenny Wallace round out the top five.
