LOUDON, N.H. -- Travis Kvapil held off Jack Sprague's late charge to win Saturday's weather-delayed NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Sylvania 200 by Lowe's as the race's 10th caution and darkness froze the finishing order with two laps remaining. | | SYLVANIA 200 | |

Kvapil, driving a Toyota, became the ninth consecutive different series winner at New Hampshire International Speedway with his second victory of the season. Kvapil's fifth career win was aided by good fuel mileage that allowed his Bang Racing Tundra to go the 200-lap race's final 93 circuits without stopping for gas. "We definitely were concerned," Kvapil said. "We needed some cautions to go our way and that's what happened." Kvapil averaged 89.482 mph in a race which started nearly five hours late due to rain. The first 36 laps were run under caution to complete drying of the 1.058-mile track. Pole winner Sprague's Chevrolet, which led 58 laps, finished second ahead of Johnny Benson's Toyota, Carl Edwards' Ford and the Toyota of Raybestos Rookie contender David Reutimann. The race's first 19 finishers completed all 200 laps. Bobby Hamilton, despite finishing 15th after a mid-race restart infraction, continues to hold a 30-point championship lead over Dennis Setzer with seven races remaining. Edwards is just 39 points behind in third. |
