HOMESTEAD, Fla. -- Bobby Hamilton clinched his first Craftsman Truck Series championship Friday in the Ford 300 at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Hamilton edged Dennis Setzer by 40 points to win the title

Nextel Cup Series rookie Kasey Kahne, making only his second NCTS start, won for the second consecutive week row.

Hamilton, who started ninth, entered the race with a 70-point advantage over Setzer, while Ted Musgrave (minus-130 points) and Carl Edwards (minus-148) also were mathematically still in the point chase.

At 47 years old, Hamilton becomes the oldest NCTS champion and gives Dodge its first Truck Series title.
