Die-casts celebrate 'Born-on Date' program

In a reprise of one of the most popular special paint scheme promotions of last season, Dale Earnhardt Jr. will once again race Budweiser Born On Date Chevrolet Monte Carlos at Daytona.

This year's program has been expanded to include three cars starting with the Bud Shootout on February 12th. The theme will return for both the Gatorade Duel at Daytona qualifying race on February 17th and the Daytona 500 on February 20th.

The three cars are adorned with identical paint schemes. However, a decal signifying the date of each specific race is displayed on the hood of each race car.

Action Performance has produced scale reproductions of all three cars in both 1:24 and 1:64 scales. The NASCAR.COM SuperStore currently stocks all three 1:24 scale cars individually, as well as a three-car 1:64 scale set packaged in a collector tin.
