Interactive base set returns in 'Stealth 2005'

Press Pass has rolled out its fifth card set of 2005. An interactive base card design continues to be the trademark of Press Pass Stealth 2005.

The 100-card base set will include among its subsets trios of top drivers and their cars. When placed in plastic sleeves, the team-specific three-card fronts and backs utilize a design that links them together in vertical rows of three cards. It's a new twist to Press Pass previous concept of placing three base card backs together to form a picture.

"Stealth returns with its traditional team-specific three-card design element," explained Press Pass Director of Marketing Tom Farrell. "This look, along with fun and innovative inserts, has become a popular part of the Stealth identity. The excitement comes each year when we develop a new way to make the puzzle-style base design interesting and fun for collectors. We hope collectors have as much fun putting this set together as we had creating it."

The Stealth base portfolio top drivers, cars, and teams from the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series, as well as top wheel men from the Craftsman Truck and Busch series. A special 27-card set-within-a-set, entitled "No Boundaries," features the top 27 drivers on a die-cat foil card.

As usual, Stealth's memorabilia insert program-Gear Grippers--focuses on race-used gloves worn by 18 top drivers like Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jeff Gordon, Tony Stewart, Kurt Busch and Greg Biffle. The ultra-rare Gear Grippers Signature Series features race-used glove cards signed by seven superstars and numbered to their car number. Participants are: Earnhardt Jr., Gordon, Terry Labonte, Mark Martin, Brian Vickers, Kevin Harvick, and Michael Waltrip.

Press Pass Signings, which kicked off its 2005 run in April with Press Pass Premium, is just hitting its stride in Stealth. The award-winning autograph series boasts a roster of more than 40 NASCAR personalities past and present from all three top touring series.

The versions of Press Pass Signings are available: Silver Signings, found in both hobby and retail boxes; Platinum Signings, found in both versions and sequentially numbered to 100; and Gold Signings, a hobby-only variation numbered to just 50 cards.

Other inserts include "Fusion," "Profile," and "EFX." The "Dale Earnhardt Victory Series" continues as Press Pass documents each of The Intimidator's 76 triumphs.

And to top it all off, the year-long Total Memorabilia campaign is still running full bore in Press Pass Stealth. Triple Burner (hobby only) and Double Burner (retail) multi-piece memorabilia cards offer fans the chance to own cards containing two or three pieces of race-used items from a dozen of the sport's most-heralded competitors.
