NASCAR collectors often have questions about the items they've accumulated. Here are our responses to some of your most recent inquiries:

Q: I have a 2001 Revell Dale Earnhardt die-cast car, in 1:24 scale. This was issued at the beginning of the 2001 season. I think I paid $65 for it, and was curious as to what it might be worth today. I also have a Coca-Cola Racing Family standup of Dale Earnhardt from 1999, and was wondering what its value would be. -- Mike Irwin

Please remember to be specific when describing a collectible -- manufacturer, year, etc. Limit your questions to two and check our archives before submitting an inquiry.

A: Mike, Revell released a number of Earnhardt cars in 2001, so naturally the value depends on which one you have. On the low end, the basic Revell Select car is worth $25-40. Onr the high side, the Revell Collection Goodwrench/Oreo car has a collectible value of $200-300. The Revell Collection Goodwrench car with Sonic decals is worth around $100. Two Earnhardt Revell Club cars were made that year, both carry a collectible value of $150-200. Again, those are collectible values. In today's market, they are selling for less. The Earnhardt stand-up is a great item. It is likely worth $75-100.

Q: I have one of Dale Earnhardt's tires off of his car from the 1999 Daytona 500. What is it worth if anything? -- John Ashmore

A: The tough part about appraising tires is that it is so hard to authenticate them. It's virtually impossible. Hence, for that reason, most values for top drivers fall in the $25-75 range. If you could get a letter of authenticity from an unimpeachable source, the Earnhardt tire would probably be worth around $100-150.

Q: I have a 1:24 die-cast 50th anniversary No. 6 bank, gold in color. Was wondering what it was worth. -- Allencia Vermilion

A. Racing Champions made 2500 of these 1998 Mark Martin banks. It is likely worth $25-40.

Q: How much would these near mint 1989 Winners Circle Drug Awareness cards be worth: Lee Petty, Paul Goldsmith, Fred Lorenzen, Tom Pistone, Tiny Lund. I also have two 1988 MAXX Race Cards cover cards with the card No. 1. How much are they worth? -- Bulldogs1850

SUPERSTORE

A: The Pistone and Goldsmith cards are probably worth $18-20 apiece. The Lund would go for $25-30. Lorenzen and Petty are valued at $30-40. The only exception would be if you have the Petty card without "NASCAR" on the back. It's a $300-400 card. The value of the MAXX cover cards depends on which of four versions you have. The Myrtle Beach cover card bore the price "$19.95." One Myrtle Beach card mentions 100 cards on the front and is valued at $30-50. The other mentions 10 cards and is valued at about $10. The Charlotte cover cards are marked with "$21.45." The version that mentions 100 cards is priced at $25-40. The one that mentions 10 cards is only worth about 50 cents.

Q: I have a 1991 set of "20 Years of Richard Petty" collectable race cards, factory sealed. It has STP on the front of the box. Can you tell me what it is worth? -- Donna Wetzel

A: Traks printed this 10-card set for STP. Still sealed, this set is worth about $10-12.

Q: I have a 1:64 scale Racing Champions Dick Brooks. No. 32 car Rookie of the Year car with a card in a blister pack. I also have a 1:64 scale Racing Champions, Aug 6 1994, Brickyard 400, No. 94 Inaugural car with card in blister pack. What is the value? -- Jerky Joe

A: The Brooks car is valued at $8-10. The Brickyard piece goes for about $5.

Q: I would like to know the present value of a 1:18 die-cast of the 1998 Dale Jarrett Batman car. It was manufactured by Action and is still in original box. --Al Alringer

A: Still fairly easy to find. The collectible value should fall in the $75-100 range.

Q: I have an Action Elite 1:24 scale Dale Earnhardt 1999 Last Lap of the Century Monte Carlo, 1 of 8500. Could you please give me a value? -- Denice

A: A beautiful car here. It's worth $200-250 in perfect condition.

Q: I have an 2000 Ertl Matco Kenny Irwin Jr No. 42 Bellsouth car, No. 228 out of 3100.Iam curious of its worth. -- Rick Hall

A: A good car that you don't see around much anymore. The few I've seen lately sold fairly low, but I still think it has a collectible value of around $75 or so.

Q: I have a Dale Earnhardt "The Magnificent 7" Jebco wall clock still in the box. Any idea what it is worth? It's No. 3036 of 10,000 made. -- FanRC21

A: The artwork for this clock is motorsports artist Sam Bass' highly-acclaimed Magnificent 7 painting. The clock is value at $100-120.
