FONTANA, Calif. -- In 2005, California Speedway's role in the Nextel Cup season drastically changes for the second consecutive season.

The two-mile clone of Michigan International Speedway hosts the second race on the schedule, the Auto Club 500, for the first time after it held two events in one season for the first time in 2004.

The following numbers refer to California Speedway unless otherwise noted.
