![]() Mark Martin ![]() Rusty Wallace Mark Martin Mark Martin and Rusty Wallace both have celebrated in Victory Lane at the annual all-star race. Martin won the 1998 event, while Wallace claimed the title in 1989 -- his Cup championship season. Martin's improbable victory came after Jeff Gordon ran out of gas on the final lap. Fourteen drivers have won the all-star race, and Wallace is one of six Cup champs to have turned the trick. The last one was Gordon, in 2001. |
![]() Kyle Busch ![]() Travis Kvapil Kyle Busch and Travis Kvapil will make their first attempt to qualify for the All-Star Challenge in the Nextel Open. Ryan Newman, in 2002, was the last driver to win the all-star race in his first attempt.
