Speed was the order of the day Saturday as Tony Stewart and twelve others broke the California Speedway qualifying record during Busch Pole Qualifying for the Stater Bros. 300. Stewart's lap of 185.941 mph in 38.722 seconds put him on the pole for Saturday's race. He is coming off his first career Busch Series win last week at Daytona. J.J. Yeley will join Stewart on the front row. Mark Martin, rookie Reed Sorenson and Shane Hmiel round out the top five in the starting grid, Stay tuned to NASCAR.COM for updates. |
