CONCORD, N.C. -- Kasey Kahne won his second straight Busch Series pole on Friday when his blazing lap of 186.735 mph easily beat the 49 other cars during Carquest Auto Parts 300 qualifying.

Greg Biffle was second at 186.432 mph. Carl Edwards was third. Edwards tried to get the pole, but he got loose on his second lap and nearly crashed his Ford.

Teammates Martin Truex Jr. and Paul Menard were fourth and fifth.
