Truex Jr. hits wall in Busch Pole Qualifying

HOMESTEAD, Fla. -- Martin Truex Jr. will have to start the Ford 300 from the rear after he crashed during Busch Pole Qualifying.

Five cars crashed during Saturday's session. Denny Hamlin, Marc Mitchell and Chris Wimmer and Jerry Robertson were the others. Wimmer and Robertson were the only ones able to complete a lap.

Cars qualified Saturday in hot, slick conditions at Homestead-Miami Speedway, in stark contrast to Friday's Happy Hour session for the Busch Series, which was run under the lights.

Truex will win the title if he finishes 12th or better, or leads a lap and finishes 14th or better regardless of where second-place Clint Bowyer finishes in the race.
